Hangman - Opening Title Sequence
Hangman is our final Opening Title Sequence that we submitted as our coursework practical.
Our initial idea for our OTS was to have a male victim to challenge the conventions, we came up with an idea for a psychological based horror, 'Limbus'. With limbus however we thought as a group that the task at hand was too difficult to handle, so from all of the ideas conjured and inspiration gathered, we managed to come up with some last minute ideas. We decided that we would keep the idea of the victim hanging from a tree and built from there.

Faceless (10 Horror Shots)
|
During the start of our Media course, we were given the task of filming a short film to show off 10 camera shots & angles, to showcase our brief understanding of Media.
Our group however decided to take this one step further and create a full on short feature film, with the stereotypical cliches making an appearance, such as the victim smoking and the killer not showing his face. Throughout, we used a wide variety of camera shots & angles, more than showcasing we were capable in filming a short film. JL 11/2/15 |
Preliminary Task
In creating our Preliminary Task, we were able to portray & understand the main conventions used in filmography, detailing the key shots, angles and movements we had used while filming.
A few key shots were also incorporated in our Preliminary Task, proving that we have a developed understanding of camera shots & angles, aswell as handling a camera & tripod. JL 11/2/15 |

First Attempt at Horror
|
'The Exchange' was our first attempt and practice at filming an original Horror piece, we had limited preparation so most of the ideas were off of the top of our heads.
SG 12/02/15 The idea of 'The Exchange' was to have a couple of randomly thought up characters that would showcase an exchange. What the exchange was, was up to us. Two characters were meeting up for an arranged exchange when they discover the scene of a murder. MM 25/02/15 |
