Looking back at your preliminary task, how do you feel you have progressed in creating your final product?
In this video me and Sam talk about what we have learned and how much experience we have gained since doing our very first filming, the preliminary task.
We looked at the different kind of shots we used in both our preliminary task and our final opening title sequence. The shots we used in our preliminary task was extremely basic, they weren't very creative at all, this made our preliminary video very boring and unprofessional. However we identified these mistakes and the areas we could of improved on, which helped to make our opening title sequence ten times better than what it would of been, had we made the same mistakes as we did in our preliminary.

Me and Sam also identified that the preliminary task lacked titles. Since there were no titles included within the preliminary task, only we knew what was going on and what the video was about. We saw this was a problem and chose to include the titles necessary in our opening title sequence so that the audience watching could understand what was going on, what the film was called and who contributed towards the making of the film.

When it came to watching back our preliminary task, we noticed all the shots were very wobbly and the whole video just looked unprofessional. With this in mind any filming tasks we did after this task including our OTS, we chose to improve and use a tripod to make the camera more stable, making the video look way better as a whole.

We realised editing was a big factor when looking back at our preliminary task. The only editing done when making our preliminary was just chopping up clips and putting them together, nothing else. This made the video extremely bland and unappealing, but by making this mistake we were able to identify it and make our opening title sequence way better. Editing in our OTS included changing the lighting, eerie music to help set the atmosphere and different transitions to help make the OTS flow smoother, improving the video as a whole.
